Our journey to revamp the visual identity of the Greetings From The Garden State Podcast was a fusion of creativity, nostalgia, and the unmistakable New Jersey spirit.
It all began with a postcard—a heartfelt gesture from the podcast's host, Mike Ham, to every guest on the GFTGS Pod. The charm of this simple yet personal touch left an indelible mark on us. In fact, we still have that very postcard in our office!
Inspired by this intimate connection, we embarked on a mission to refresh Mike's media group with a design that resonated with his unique podcast style. The postcard served as our muse, guiding us to create a stamp-like aesthetic that harked back to the podcast's roots.
We fine-tuned the color palette to make Mike's brand stand out in the bustling New Jersey landscape. The iconic lightning bolt within the New Jersey state outline logo? That was born from a different concept, featuring tiny bolts symbolizing sound. We transformed it into a striking emblem that captures the essence of energy and excitement.
Our approach was to add a touch of lighter fluid to the core of the original brand while preserving its essence. The result? A visual identity that blends nostalgia, creativity, and the unmistakable attitude of New Jersey—a perfect reflection of the Greetings From The Garden State Podcast.
